Efficient polishing

Polishing is used to remove the damage remaining from the previous steps. The specific requirement of the prepared surface is determined by the particular type of analysis or examination. Specimens can be prepared to the perfect finish – the true structure – or be stopped when the surface is acceptable for a specific examination.

This seminar will be a guideline for optimizing the many parameters that are applicable to the polishing process depending on the material properties.
