Preparation of Soft Materials: Avoiding the Pitfalls

Soft materials, in particular very soft metals, often present a challenge during preparation. When mechanical preparation fails, we sometimes fall back on electrolytic preparation. Using some basic rules, mechanical preparation can be successful. This seminar will address the potential of, and the limitations associated with, the preparation of soft metals.
